I am such a homebody, no I really mean it…I love to stay home during the Fall and Winter months, light some candles, throw on some comfy clothes and cook some delicious comfort food for my family. I loving making a batch of Ina Garten’s Tomato Basil Soup which is an easy cozy Fall soup that anyone can make and pair that with a delicious grilled cheese sandwich and since we’ll need snacks while we’re watching our Hallmark Movies, I love throwing together some pumpkin spice candied nuts. If this sounds good to you, then let’s get started creating 3 Fall Recipes for a cozy day at home.
- Pumpkin Pie Spice Candied Nuts
- 12 oz raw mixed nuts
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons water
Toast nuts in a large sauce pan over medium-high heat. Stir nuts constantly, about 2-3 minutes.
Add brown sugar, salt, pumpkin pie spice and butter. Stir until well combined.
Add water and stir to combine. Bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes, stirring often.
Remove from heat and pour nuts in an even layer onto parchment paper.
Allow them to cool completely, about 10 minutes, break into pieces.
Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
